Kakome Beach: Situated approximately 12 kilometers north of Saranda, Kakome Beach is a secluded gem and one of Saranda's finest beaches. Surrounded by untouched greenery, it remains blissfully uncrowded, making it ideal for a peaceful weekend getaway. With its short, straight shoreline and minimal infrastructure of umbrellas and loungers, Kakome Beach promises serenity away from the city's hustle and bustle.

Bay of Saranda

Saranda, known as the "Theatre of the Sun," is renowned for its picturesque bay often referred to as the "Stage." Two public beaches line the city promenade, offering stunning views and relaxation. The national and international ports are conveniently located near the swimming stadium, with the tourist port further afield.

An intriguing piece of history lies beneath the bay's surface: the shipwreck of the Italian warship SS Probitas from World War II. Sunk in the Bay of Saranda during October 1943 by German attackers, it holds a compelling story of wartime events. For those interested in history and adventure, snorkeling and diving are ideal for exploring this historic site.

The Islands of Ksamil, also known as the Tetranisi Islands, consist of four small islands located in the southern district of Saranda, Albania. These islands—Twin Island, Sorkadhja, Miu, and Miss—are remote and accessible only by swimming, pedalo, or boat.

Along the sailing route to Tongo Island lies a secluded bay with pristine, clear waters and a sandy bottom. The water here has a light blue hue, reminiscent of a luxurious pool set amidst untouched natural surroundings. Tongo Island

Tongo Island is an uninhabited island situated in the southwest of the Republic of Albania, nestled in the Ionian Sea off the coast of Saranda. Known for its small surface area, Tongo Island is located at Albania's southernmost tip near Cape Stillo, where it marks the final border with Greece. Access to Tongo Island is possible by boat or inflatable dinghy.

The island is also home to Babalja, known as the real-life Robinson Crusoe, who cares for the fishing nets and embodies the island's unique charm.
